Rev. Dachomo Urges Prayers After Deadly Plateau Attack
Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo has urged Christians and church leaders to pray for victims of a deadly attack on the Binper community in Plateau State.
Reports said gunmen attacked the community overnight while residents slept. The attackers reportedly moved from house to house and killed at least 23 people, including women and children.
Several others sustained injuries, while some residents were initially reported missing.
Dachomo urged Christians not to reduce the victims to statistics. He called for continued prayers and support for the affected families.
“These were not just numbers,” he said. “These were fathers, mothers, grandparents, children, brothers, sisters and young people.”
The pastor also asked Christians to pray for those injured in the attack and residents who remain fearful after the violence.

“Please do not look away from Binper,” Dachomo said. “Please do not allow these precious lives to become forgotten statistics.”
He urged churches and Christian leaders to stand with grieving families in Plateau State. He called for prayers for comfort, healing, protection and justice.
The attack has renewed concerns about the safety of vulnerable communities in Plateau State. The state has recorded deadly attacks in recent years.
Dachomo said Christians should continue to remember the victims and support families affected by the violence.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit,” he said, quoting Psalm 34:18.
