Buying Christmas Clothes Without Tithes Is Dangerous-Pastor Ibiyeomie

The Founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has warned Christians against neglecting tithing, claiming that failure to fulfil the religious obligation could expose believers to problems they might wrongly blame on the devil.

In a video circulating online, the cleric urged Christians to prioritise their tithes before spending money on Christmas clothes and other personal needs.

Ibiyeomie warned Christians against buying Christmas clothes before paying their tithes. It’s dangerous. It’s very dangerous,” Ibiyeomie said.

He stressed that Christians should not treat tithing casually or pay arbitrary amounts. Instead, he urged believers to pay what he described as the correct tithe.

To support his message, the pastor recounted incidents in which vehicle tyres allegedly burst during journeys. He linked the incidents to the drivers’ failure to pay tithes, although the claims were presented as his personal accounts.

In one instance, Ibiyeomie said two tyres on a vehicle conveying him burst during a journey. He claimed he suspected the driver had not paid his tithe.

“I said to the driver of the passenger, I said, you don’t pay tithe,” he recalled.

The cleric also narrated another incident involving a driver employed to operate his Rolls-Royce. According to him, two tyres burst while he and his wife were travelling in the vehicle.

“I said, go and check his record. He claimed that the driver did not pay tithes.

Ibiyeomie said he had encountered similar situations involving other drivers who identified as Christians but allegedly failed to pay their tithes. He cited the experiences as reasons believers should take the practice seriously.

“Not everything is the devil,” he said, urging Christians not to attribute every misfortune to spiritual attacks without examining their own conduct and religious commitments.

The pastor also cautioned believers against withholding their tithes during the Christmas season. He warned that neglecting the practice could have consequences for their families.

“I’m telling you this December, don’t tamper with your tithe. He warned that neglecting tithing could put their children at risk, according to his claim.

He further criticised Christians who, according to him, paid inconsistent amounts rather than calculating their tithes correctly.

“Many of you are Christians, but don’t pay the correct tithe. You pay as you like. It’s not pay as you go. Pay correct tithe,” Ibiyeomie said.

He concluded by urging believers to remain committed to tithing and reconsider what he described as a tendency to blame the devil for every difficulty.

The claims linking unpaid tithes to vehicle tyre bursts and other misfortunes reflect the pastor’s stated beliefs and were not independently established in the account provided.
