If You Won’t Submit, Don’t Marry-Apostle Femi Lazarus

Apostle Femi Lazarus has called for stronger family leadership and urged couples to follow biblical principles in marriage.

Lazarus made the call while speaking about marriage, parenting and family responsibilities. He said couples should understand their roles before entering marriage.

The preacher also urged men to raise boys with a strong sense of responsibility, character and leadership.

He argued that people who reject marital responsibilities should reconsider entering marriage. “Any home that the woman is controlling the husband, curse is the land. If you are not going to submit, don’t marry,” he said.

Lazarus also criticised what he described as a distorted interpretation of being “woke.” He said some men now reject submission and responsibility within marriage.

He called on fathers and other male role models to guide boys and prepare them for adulthood.

According to him, society needs more men who will deliberately mentor younger boys and teach them responsibility.

Lazarus also urged couples to follow biblical teachings on marriage. He said husbands should love their wives, while wives should submit to their husbands.

“Don’t twist what the Bible instituted. The Word is the Word. Love your wife. Wife, submit to your husband,” he said.

The preacher linked what he described as weakening family structures to challenges facing children. He warned that troubled homes could affect the next generation.

Lazarus also raised concerns about what he called attempts to “emasculate boys.” He compared the trend with Pharaoh’s biblical order to kill male children.

He maintained that responsible men have an important role in guiding younger people and strengthening families.

His remarks have added to ongoing debates about marriage, gender roles, parenting and the values parents should teach their children.
