The figures were announced by the RCCG Holy Ghost Service account on Instagram during the convention at Redemption City, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

The church described the office of full pastor as its highest pastoral rank. The General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, also holds the position.

The RCCG Holy Ghost Service account said 2,820 candidates received ordination into the office during the final day of the convention.

Earlier in the programme, the church announced the ordination of 11,830 deacons and deaconesses and 5,977 assistant pastors.

The mass ordinations formed part of the major activities at the 74th RCCG Annual Convention, which began on August 3 and ended on August 9, 2026.

The convention, themed “Mountain Movers,” took place at Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State. Worshippers from Nigeria and other countries attended the gathering.

The week-long programme featured worship services, Bible studies, prayer meetings, seminars and specialised sessions for various groups within the church.

The Holy Ghost Service held on Friday, followed by Holy Communion and Anointing Service on Saturday. Sunday featured baptism, further ordination activities and the closing thanksgiving service.

Adeboye led several sessions during the convention alongside senior RCCG ministers and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye.

The gathering also featured testimonies and thanksgiving from worshippers. The church announced several developments and milestones recorded during the programme.

On the final day, Adeboye announced that 88 babies had been born at Redemption City during the convention.

The newborns comprised 52 boys and 36 girls.

The 74th RCCG Annual Convention ended with a thanksgiving service on Sunday. The event brought together worship, prayers, teachings, ordinations and other activities over seven days.
