Pastor Adeboye Calls Nigerians to Righteous Living
According to The Guardian, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has encouraged Nigerians to pursue greatness through righteousness, saying lasting success rests on integrity, diligence and God’s mercy.
He delivered the message during the church’s monthly thanksgiving service at the RCCG National Headquarters, Throne of Grace Parish, Ebute-Metta, Lagos. He ministered virtually from the Mount Carmel Prayer Village in Ifewara, Osun State.
Speaking on the theme, Above Only, he prayed for workers, students in tertiary and secondary schools, as well as their families. He also asked God to grant them favour, wisdom and lasting progress.
He explained that people generally fall into two groups—those who lead and those who follow. He said those at the top often enjoy greater opportunities, better healthcare and improved living conditions. He urged believers to aspire to higher levels of achievement through God’s guidance.
He warned, however, that genuine promotion comes from God alone. He said wealth or influence gained through dishonest means cannot endure. He added that anyone who desires lasting success must embrace integrity and reject unrighteousness.

He said God’s mercy brings promotion, while hard work, learning, and excellence sustain it. He urged Nigerians to keep improving themselves and remain faithful to God’s principles.
He also prayed that God would raise His people above sorrow, sickness, poverty and every form of spiritual oppression. He urged those seeking lasting promotion to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ and remain committed to His ways.
According to The Guardian, the Special Assistant to the General Overseer (Administration) and Pastor in Charge of RCCG Region 1, Pastor Dele Balogun, also addressed the congregation. He urged students to remain disciplined, focus on their education and trust God for success.
He further advised parents to pay closer attention to the welfare and safety of their children, especially those in boarding schools. He encouraged them to monitor the learning environment regularly and relocate their children whenever they identify security concerns.
