Bishop Oyedepo Declares Judgment on Sponsors of Killings
The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, David Oyedepo, has declared that those sponsoring killings across Nigeria are under a divine curse following the recent attack in Kaduna State.
Speaking during a church service, Oyedepo reacted to the July 27 attack in Kaduna, where gunmen reportedly killed at least 30 people, including women and children. He condemned the violence and said those behind the bloodshed would face God’s judgment.
The cleric said the perpetrators and those financing them would not escape divine justice. He insisted that the continued killings were not random but were backed by powerful individuals.
“You can’t slaughter members of my family and want me to pray for you. I pray against you, against your household, against your generation, in the name of Jesus,” he said.
Oyedepo also pronounced a curse on anyone sponsoring the attacks, declaring, “Every sponsor of killers in Nigeria, you come under a curse today.”

He questioned what he described as the government’s failure to respond decisively to the persistent violence. He said he had not heard any official condemnation of the latest attack and lamented what he viewed as the declining value placed on human life.
The bishop said he had remained silent on the country’s insecurity for a long time but believed the time had come for divine intervention. He warned that those responsible for the violence would ultimately face accountability.
According to him, no matter where those behind the killings hide, they would not escape God’s judgment. He expressed confidence that justice would prevail.
