RCCG Founder’s Daughter, Pastor Titilayo Akindayomi-Adewale, Defends Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Titilayo Akindayomi-Adewale, daughter of the founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pa Josiah Akindayomi, has dismissed reports claiming she criticised senior pastors of the church or campaigned for the preservation of her father’s legacy. According to Vanguard News, she described the reports as false and misleading.

Mrs. Akindayomi-Adewale said the statements circulating online did not come from her. She urged those behind the reports to stop spreading information capable of causing confusion within the church.

She maintained that her father’s greatest legacy was never about buildings, monuments or public recognition. She said his lasting impact was the lives he touched through his ministry and devotion to God.

Mrs. Akindayomi-Adewale explained that her father never pursued wealth or earthly fame. Furthermore, she recalled that he showed little interest in owning a personal house because material possessions never defined his mission.

She said her father devoted his life to building people instead of accumulating property. She added that it would contradict his beliefs to suggest he wanted his name or image attached to physical structures.

Mrs. Akindayomi-Adewale alleged that those promoting the reports were trying to stir unnecessary controversy within the church. She said the false narratives distracted attention from the work God continues to do through RCCG.

“In my opinion, these reports are not really about me or my father. They are designed to create unnecessary arguments and sow division among believers,” she said.

She warned those circulating the claims to stop spreading what she described as misleading information. She urged Christians to reject stories capable of creating disunity within the church.

Mrs. Akindayomi-Adewale also reaffirmed her support for the leadership of RCCG. She prayed that God would continue to grant Pastor Enoch Adeboye, his family and the church leadership wisdom, strength and grace for the task ahead.
