Jerry Eze Foundation Begins MSME Grant Shortlisting

The Jerry Eze Foundation has commenced contacting shortlisted candidates for its $525,000 Entrepreneurship Grant program. The initiative is aimed at supporting 100 young business owners across Nigeria as part of efforts to strengthen entrepreneurship and expand access to funding for MSMEs.

According to notifications sent to applicants, shortlisted candidates have advanced to the next stage of evaluation. At this point, entries will undergo detailed review by the program committee. Applicants have been advised to ensure that all supporting documents are complete and up to date, as only verified submissions will proceed further in the selection process.

The foundation also confirmed that candidates can check their status through official email notifications and by logging into the application portal. This dual-check system was introduced to promote transparency and allow applicants to independently confirm their progression in the selection process.

To strengthen credibility and ensure independent oversight, KPMG has been appointed to manage the entire program. The firm will handle screening, evaluation, beneficiary selection, and fund disbursement to ensure fairness and accountability.

With the shortlist now released, the program has entered its final phase, where entrepreneurs will undergo comprehensive evaluation before 100 beneficiaries are selected. The initiative is expected to support business expansion, job creation, and innovation across key sectors including agriculture, technology, and manufacturing within Nigeria’s MSME ecosystem.
