From Addiction to Christ Through My Ministration-Bola Discovery

Gospel singer Bola Discovery has shared how her early love for music and church life shaped her journey into ministry.

In a recent interview, she said her passion for singing started in childhood. She often followed her mother to choir rehearsals, drawn by the sound and spirit of worship. That early exposure, she explained, laid the foundation for her calling.

At age six, her path took a clear turn. During a rehearsal at Christ Apostolic Church, leaders noticed her voice. Although she was young, they made an exception and allowed her to join the adult choir. Her alto voice filled an important gap ahead of a choir anniversary. That moment, she said, changed everything.

Since then, Bola Discovery has remained rooted in church ministry. Over the years, she has grown not only as a singer but also as a leader in the choir. She believes her role goes beyond music.

“I prepare myself for God’s use so He can take over,” she said. “I am just a vessel. I want people to encounter God through salvation, healing, and encouragement.”

Moreover, she recalled a powerful moment that confirmed her calling. During a vigil ministration, a man walked into the church while they were singing. She said he appeared troubled and kept returning over time.

Eventually, he broke down at the altar. As songs about God’s mercy filled the room, he wept and cried out for forgiveness. According to her, the moment lasted over an hour.

“He knelt and held my feet while crying to God,” she said. “It was a deep moment of repentance.”

Afterward, the man gave his life to Christ. The church later took steps to guide and support him.

For Bola Discovery, moments like this define her mission. Through music, she hopes to lead people into real encounters with God.
