MFM DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY 2026 MESSAGE
In today’s Fire Scripture, the Lord Jesus used the Parable of the Lost Sheep to illustrate the worth of one human soul. As the shepherd could leave ninety nine sheep to go in search of just one that was lost, how much more a lost soul for whom Christ died. Here are some important lessons the Lord wants us to learn. First, seeking lost sinners to bring them to redemption is of utmost importance to the heart of God. Second, both God and heaven rejoice when even one sinner repents. Lastly, no amount of trouble, sacrifice, or suffering is too great in seeking the lost and bringing them to Jesus.
PREVIOUS DEVOTIONAL
The case of a sinner that goes on in his sinful ways is like a lost sheep gone astray. He is lost to God, lost to the flock and lost to himself. He knows nowhere and he is wandering endlessly; he is continually exposed to danger, and cannot of himself find his way back to the fold. Just as the shepherd shows abundant care in finding out the lost sheep and bringing it home, so also God follows the lost sinners with the calls of His word and love.
PREVIOUS DEVOTIONAL
God’s love for each individual is so great that He seeks each one out and rejoices when he is “found.” Jesus associated with sinners because He wanted to save the lost sheep through the preaching of the Gospel of the kingdom. For instance, before someone becomes a believer, He sought out the person, and His love is still seeking those who are yet to be saved.
PREVIOUS DEVOTIONAL
God who tenderly searches for sinners and then joyfully forgives them must have an extraordinary love for the lost. This is the kind of love that prompted Jesus to come to the earth to search for the lost people and save them. If you feel far from God, don’t despair; He is searching for you. I encourage you to come to Him and accept His tender mercy for He has promised that “he that cometh to Him, He will in no wise cast him out” (John 6:37).
