2027 Elections- Apostle Suleman Calls for Mature Politics
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Johnson Suleman has appealed to Nigerian politicians to avoid hostile language and focus on meaningful discussions about the future of the country.
The senior pastor of Omega Fire Ministries International made the appeal during a sermon where he addressed the growing tension in Nigeria’s political atmosphere. He said politics should be about solving problems and improving lives, not attacking opponents with insults and accusations.
According to him, many political figures spend too much time criticizing rivals while failing to explain their own plans for governance. He urged leaders to speak more about policies that can improve the economy, education, electricity, and infrastructure.
Suleman also advised politicians to be careful with the words they use during campaigns. He noted that political relationships can change quickly, and people who are enemies today may eventually work together tomorrow.
He explained that harsh statements made in public could later become difficult to defend when political interests shift. Because of this, he encouraged politicians to choose respectful and responsible language.

In the same message, the cleric raised concerns about the tone of conversations on social media. He said some individuals attract public attention by constantly attacking the government without presenting useful ideas or practical alternatives.
He stressed that opposing bad leadership does not automatically prove someone has the ability to lead well. Instead, he urged Nigerians to pay attention to leaders with clear vision, practical ideas, and genuine concern for national progress.
Suleman further encouraged citizens to demand campaigns built on ideas and solutions rather than personal conflicts. He said Nigerians deserve conversations that address real national issues and improve everyday life.
As political activities continue to build ahead of the next election cycle, the preacher called for maturity, accountability, and constructive engagement from both leaders and citizens across the country.
