Word of God Is Christian’s Ultimate Weapon-Prophet Hezekiah

The General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Nigeria and Overseas, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, has called on ministers of the gospel to return to deeper reliance on the Word of God, describing the Bible as the believer’s primary spiritual weapon in ministry and daily life.

He made the remarks on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, during the opening session of the Evangelists, Planters, Prophets and Prophetesses International Conference (EPIC), held at the Christ Apostolic Church Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.

Delivering a sermon titled “The Bible: The Spiritual Weapon of War,” Oladeji anchored his message on Ephesians 6:10 and other scriptural references. He expressed concern that many ministers and believers are increasingly relying on human ability rather than spiritual depth rooted in Scripture.

He said a growing dependence on fleshly effort has weakened spiritual sensitivity among Christians. According to him, this shift has reduced the practical experience of the power found in the Word of God.

Oladeji described the Bible as the “sword of the Spirit,” stressing that its influence goes beyond intellectual understanding. He said Scripture carries transformative power capable of penetrating the deepest aspects of human life and bringing inner change.

He further stated that the Word of God can break spiritual bondage. It also dismantles strongholds that oppose God’s purpose. He linked rising fear and spiritual weakness among believers to shallow engagement with the Scriptures.

In his words, a lack of depth in the Word has contributed to increasing fear within the body of Christ. He urged ministers to rebuild their spiritual foundation through consistent study and application of the Bible.

The cleric also emphasised the central role of Scripture in prophetic ministry. He noted that genuine prophetic expression is anchored on the Word of God, which he described as a guiding light that reveals both divine direction and hidden spiritual activity.

Oladeji encouraged participants at the conference to strengthen their commitment to studying and obeying Scripture. He said the Word of God equips believers to overcome trials, resist temptation, and withstand spiritual opposition.

He added that the effectiveness of ministry is often tested through spiritual battles, noting that true servants of God are refined through such experiences and sustained by their faith in Scripture.

The conference continues at the Osun State venue, drawing evangelists, prophets, prophetesses, and church workers from Nigeria and abroad under the theme “The Bible: Prophetic Truth,” with a focus on spiritual renewal and ministry empowerment.
