Bisimanuel Speaks on Silence Amid Insecurity Concerns

Nigerian gospel singer Adebisi Emmanuel, widely known as Bisimanuel, is not one to follow the crowd. In a candid interview with Sunday Scoop, he opened up about spiritual leadership, public pressure, and what he believes gospel ministers truly owe their generation.

His words came at a time when many Nigerians are asking hard questions. Why are faith leaders quiet? Where are the gospel voices amid rising insecurity? Bisimanuel tackled these questions with calm and clarity.

He made one thing clear from the start. Silence is not always indifference. Different leaders respond to national challenges in different ways. Some speak publicly. Others pray, give, or support people quietly behind the scenes. What matters, he said, is the sincerity of the response.

Bisimanuel also admitted that public figures face constant pressure to comment on trending issues. He does not dismiss that pressure. But he refuses to let it dictate his actions.

His core focus remains ministry. Through music, he aims to bring healing, hope, and encouragement to people who are hurting. At the same time, he stays conscious of the real struggles Nigerians face every day.

On the debate around gospel ministers charging for performances, he did not take sides. He called for balance instead. Ministry is spiritual, yes. But it also comes with real costs and practical demands. So the real question, in his view, is not whether a minister charges. It is about the motive driving that decision.

He then turned his attention to young gospel artistes chasing the spotlight. His message to them was firm. Do not let fame come before character. Influence without preparation is dangerous. It can hurt you. It can also hurt the very people you are trying to reach.

As he looks ahead, Bisimanuel is focused on new music and fresh ministry projects. He describes this season of his life as one built on purpose and spiritual depth.
