RCCG Starts Tech Program to Equip 100,000 Young People
The Redeemed Christian Church of God has launched a major technology initiative. It aims to equip 100,000 young Nigerians with digital skills for the future. According to Punch Newspapers, the program will run under the RCCG Young Adult and Youth Affairs Tech Fellowship. It will focus on practical training in technology and innovation.
The initiative comes at a time when digital skills matter more than ever. Technology now shapes work, business, and global opportunities. Many young people are looking for ways to gain useful skills. They also want better career paths. Through this fellowship, RCCG wants to prepare young people for these opportunities.
The church introduced the fellowship as part of its wider youth development work. Leaders explained that the programme will go beyond spiritual growth. It will also focus on real world skills that can help young people succeed in a digital economy.
Pastor Sola Olukoya, Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Youth Affairs, spoke on the vision. He said the fellowship will expose participants to areas such as software development, cybersecurity, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and product design. He added that the goal is not only skill training. It is also to help young people discover purpose and contribute to society.
This vision shows a growing shift in faith based youth development. Churches now play a stronger role in preparing young people for work and life. They also respond to the demands of a fast changing world.
Across Nigeria, many youths face unemployment. Others struggle to access quality training. At the same time, employers now demand digital skills. This gap makes program like this very important. They give young people both training and mentorship.

The fellowship also connects faith with personal growth. It does not separate spiritual life from career development. Instead, it brings both together. This gives participants a clearer sense of direction. It also opens doors to entrepreneurship, innovation, and employment.
The program also reflects a strong biblical principle. Scripture encourages believers to use their gifts wisely. The Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25 highlights responsibility and growth. It teaches that people should develop what they have been given.
In today’s digital world, technology skills carry great value. Young Christians can use these skills to solve problems. They can also create jobs and support their communities. Learning therefore goes beyond income. It becomes a tool for purpose and service.
Nigeria has one of the largest youth populations in the world. This makes youth development very important. Investments in education and skills can support national growth. Faith based groups now play a key role in this effort.
The RCCG initiative shows this clearly. It focuses on practical empowerment. It also supports long term impact. Young people gain tools that help them compete globally. They also gain confidence for the future.

The program also sends a clear message. Empowerment must go beyond words. Young people need real skills. They need access to opportunities. They also need guidance to succeed in a changing world.
RCCG’s plan to train 100,000 youths is more than a tech program. It is an investment in people and potential. It also shows how faith and skills can work together. This creates a balanced model for youth development.
As registration begins, many young Nigerians will see a new opportunity. They will learn, grow, and prepare for the future. For believers, it also serves as a reminder. Every gift and skill can serve a higher purpose and create lasting impact.
