C&S Members Protest Insecurity, Demand Oyo Students Release
According to The Punch, members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church staged a street protest in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, over rising insecurity in Nigeria and the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State.
The protest appeared in a video shared on X on Monday. Church members marched peacefully through parts of the city while carrying placards and chanting against kidnapping, banditry, and repeated attacks on schools.
The placards displayed messages calling for an end to insecurity. Some read “Stop Kidnapping,” “Stop Insecurity,” “End Banditry,” and “Release Our Abducted Students.”
The demonstrators repeatedly urged authorities to act quickly and rescue the victims still in captivity. They insisted that government intervention must improve to protect lives and restore safety in affected communities.
One of the protesters called for urgent action from security agencies. He demanded the immediate return of abducted students and said schools must no longer remain targets for armed groups.

Another protester stressed the value of the missing children. He said they represent the future of the country and warned that continued attacks on them threaten Nigeria’s long-term stability.
The group also raised concerns about governance and national security. They chanted calls for better leadership while rejecting continued insecurity across the country.
The protesters insisted that authorities must stop further killings and abductions. They also demanded stronger protection for Christian communities and schools vulnerable to attacks.
They repeatedly called for the release of all abducted children and an end to violence. They maintained that Nigeria cannot progress without improved security and accountability.
The demonstration reflects growing public concern over repeated school kidnappings and ongoing insecurity in several parts of the country.
