The announcement was made as part of what the Christian body described as a spiritual response to the security challenges currently affecting different parts of Nigeria.
According to details reported by Punch, the fasting exercise will hold across PFN member churches nationwide, with Christian faithful expected to participate in prayers focused on peace, stability, and national restoration.

It urged Christians across the country to take the directive seriously, encouraging believers to engage in fasting with sincerity and commitment.
