The theme surrounding the celebration, “70 Years of Grace,” reflects the thanksgiving at the heart of the milestone. Bishop Wale Oke himself described the occasion as a time to celebrate “70 years of grace, favour and divine preservation.” (Facebook)
The celebration has attracted tributes from members of the Christian community, with attention placed on his contribution to the Church and his influence as a Pentecostal leader.
As he marks the milestone, the occasion also serves as a moment for younger Christians and ministers to reflect on the value of long-term service, consistency and dedication to the work of God.
For Bishop Wale Oke, turning 70 represents more than reaching a significant age. It is a moment of thanksgiving for a journey that has spanned decades of ministry and leadership.
The celebration at Cornerstone City is therefore expected to be a gathering of thanksgiving, honour and reflection as Christian leaders and worshippers join the bishop in celebrating seven decades of grace and service.
