Pastor Kumuyi Urges Peace, Security as Ogun Crusade Returns
As the Global Crusade with Kumuyi returns to Ogun State, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has called for peace, security and progress in Nigeria.
Kumuyi made the call during his visit to the traditional ruler of Ota, Prof. Abdulkabir Obalanlege, on Tuesday.
The visit came ahead of the crusade, which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday at Anglican Grammar School in Ota, Ogun State.
Responding to journalists’ questions about the country’s security situation, the cleric said Nigerians desire peace and safety. He added that prayers would continue for God’s intervention in the nation’s affairs.
“As for what is our desire for our country, what is the desire of everyone, every citizen? One: peace, security and progress in our land. Kumuyi said Nigerians continue to pray for peace and security, adding that God knows how best to respond to their prayers.
On why Ota was chosen for the crusade, the international evangelist said the decision followed what he described as divine direction.
“The Lord laid it on our hearts that this is the time for Ogun State. This is Ogun State’s time,” he said.

Kumuyi expressed confidence that the crusade would bring transformation, salvation and healing. He also said it would provide solutions to challenges facing individuals and families.
According to the cleric, the outreach has reached several states, including Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Enugu, Anambra, Abia, Oyo, Ondo, Kaduna and Sokoto, among others.
He added that the GCK has also taken place in several countries. They include Benin Republic, Togo, Cameroon, Zambia, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.
Kumuyi also announced free medical services as part of the outreach in Ota. He said medical teams would attend to residents before and during the crusade.
He disclosed that the teams include doctors, nurses and specialist medical experts. According to him, they would provide treatment, perform surgeries and distribute medicines at no cost.
“The medical team has doctors and nurses and specialist experts, and they go before us, before the GCK, and they touch many lives.

“They perform operations, they do eye operations and other surgical procedures, and will provide all the medicine and everything that you need,” he said.
In his remarks, the Olota of Ota, Prof. Obalanlege, expressed optimism about Kumuyi’s visit. He said the presence of the cleric, his wife and South-West state overseers would bring spiritual transformation and promote peace in the community.
The traditional ruler said he was delighted to welcome Kumuyi and his delegation to Ota. He added that transformed lives could contribute positively to the town’s peace and development.
The monarch expressed joy over Kumuyi’s visit, saying he believed God was present in Ota and that many lives would experience positive transformation.
He also expressed the belief that transformed individuals would help create a more peaceful community.
