Apostle Ayintete disagree with Pastor Dolapo on Salvation

According to Punch Newspaper, the Lead Pastor of Goodness Nation, Apostle Harrison Ayintete, has criticised the Lead Pastor of Zoe Household Global, Pastor Adedolapo Lawal, over his teaching on the doctrine of salvation. He urged the cleric to study the Scriptures more carefully before teaching on the subject.

Ayintete reacted in a post on X after Lawal dismissed the “once saved, always saved” doctrine during a recent sermon. He argued that anyone who receives eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ cannot lose that salvation.

The disagreement followed Lawal’s teaching that salvation requires continuous faith, repentance and holy living. He maintained that Christians should not assume their salvation remains secure regardless of how they live.

Lawal based his position on several New Testament passages. He argued that the Scriptures repeatedly warn believers against falling away from the faith. He also referred to Jesus’ messages to the seven churches in Revelation as evidence that Christians must continue in obedience.

The Zoe Household Global pastor further warned that unconditional eternal security could weaken the biblical call to holiness. He urged believers to study the whole counsel of Scripture instead of relying only on passages such as John 3:16.

Responding to the sermon, Ayintete challenged Lawal’s interpretation of the Bible. He wrote on X, “Pastor Adedolapo Lawal, sir, I thought you knew better than this.”

Referring to John 3:16, the Goodness Nation pastor argued that everyone who believes in Christ already possesses eternal life. He questioned how God’s life could perish or come under condemnation.

The cleric explained that the New Testament epistles exist to help believers grow spiritually and mature in the faith. According to him, those letters focus on Christian development rather than determining whether a genuine believer remains saved.

He wrote, The epistles are for revelation, development in ministry, maturity in that which we have received, warning against lifestyles that do not reflect our righteousness. Spiritual development and growth is never the same as spiritual birth.”

Ayintete also rejected Lawal’s claim that hyper-grace teaching encourages sin within the Church. He questioned whether churches that reject hyper-grace no longer struggle with sin among their members.

The preacher further challenged Lawal to a public debate on the doctrine of salvation. He said the issue deserves open discussion so believers can examine the Scriptures together.

In a follow-up video, Ayintete accused some ministers of unfairly portraying hyper-grace preachers. He maintained that his teaching rests firmly on the Bible.

Quoting John 3:16, John 10 and Ephesians 1, he argued that Jesus promised eternal life to believers and assured them they would never perish. He added that believers remain sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption.

Ayintete also maintained that Christians overcome sin through the power of the Holy Spirit rather than through fear of hell or the loss of salvation. He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to preaching hyper-grace, saying, “We believe in hyper-grace, we preach it and we raise godly believers to the glory of God. We are not going to be silent anymore.”
