FCT Pastor Remanded Over Alleged Rape Charges
According to the Punch, A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Gwarimpa, Abuja, has ordered that Pastor Amos Isah, founder of Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry, remain in custody as legal proceedings continue over a case involving a 14 year old church member.
Justice Modupe Osho Adebiyi gave the ruling on Thursday after the matter came up in court. The judge said the 39-year-old cleric would stay in custody until the court receives details of his previous bail records.
The case has continued to draw public attention because of the people involved and the nature of the claims before the court. However, Isah pleaded not guilty to all charges filed against him.
According to court documents, the charges include offences linked to the Child Rights Act 2003, sexual exploitation, coercion, emotional abuse, psychological abuse, gross indecency, and issues relating to a minor.

The prosecution told the court that the incident allegedly happened on May 26, 2025, at the church premises in Gwagwalada Area Council, Abuja. Prosecutors claimed that the teenage girl was invited into the church’s newly completed auditorium by the pastor.
Court documents marked FCT HC CR 467 2024 stated that the matter falls within the jurisdiction of the court under Section 31 of the Child Rights Act 2003.
Meanwhile, the prosecution also informed the court that the cleric allegedly gave the teenager N3,000 for medication after the incident.
In addition, the court heard that the defendant also committed gross indecency without consent under Section 285 of the Penal Code Laws.
After listening to submissions from both sides, Justice Osho Adebiyi adjourned the matter until June 30, 2026, for continuation of hearing.
