Pres.Trump:We Hit Terrorists to Save Christians in Nigeria
United States President Donald Trump has said military strikes approved by his administration in Nigeria disrupted terrorist activities and helped protect Christian communities from deadly attacks.
Trump made the statement while speaking at an event in Washington on Friday. During his speech, he said the military operation dealt a major blow to terrorist groups that had been carrying out violent attacks against Christians in different parts of Nigeria.
According to Trump, many Christian communities had suffered serious attacks before the military action took place. He said thousands of innocent people, including women, children, and elderly citizens, had lost their lives as a result of terrorist violence. He described the killings as brutal and heartbreaking.
The US President said the military strikes targeted the leadership of the terrorist group. He claimed the operation successfully removed the group’s top leaders, including its first, second, and third-ranking commanders. According to him, taking out these leaders weakened the group’s structure and reduced its ability to plan and carry out more attacks.
Trump also expressed confidence that the military action would discourage future violence. He said the terrorists now understand that any attempt to continue attacking innocent people would be met with an even stronger response.

Speaking further, Trump linked the operation in Nigeria to his administration’s broader foreign policy on global security. He compared it to the United States’ position on Iran, explaining that his government believes in dealing with serious threats before they become more dangerous. He said this approach helps prevent larger security problems in the future.
The American leader also stressed that protecting Christians remains an important part of his administration’s priorities. He said the United States would continue identifying terrorist groups, tracking their activities, and taking decisive action against them wherever they operate.
Trump added that his administration remains committed to defending religious freedom across the world. According to him, the United States will continue working to protect Christians and other innocent civilians from extremist violence and terrorism.
He said his government would not hesitate to use military force when necessary to stop terrorist groups and prevent further loss of lives. Trump maintained that strong action against terrorists is necessary to improve security and protect vulnerable communities.
His comments come as concerns about insecurity and attacks by armed groups continue to attract attention both within Nigeria and internationally.
