Pastor Muoka Warns Christians Against Tattoos, Hairstyles
According to The Guardian, the General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has cautioned Christians against tattooing their bodies. He also criticized young men who braid their hair and adopt what he described as feminine styles of dressing.
He delivered the message during the church’s biennial programme, titled “…And The Enemies Submitted,” held at The Chosen Revival Ground along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway in Lagos.
He questioned why anyone who professes the Christian faith would imitate worldly practices by placing tattoos on the body. He said believers should live in a way that reflects biblical teachings rather than conform to popular culture.
He warned that such practices carry serious spiritual consequences. He urged those involved to turn away from what he described as sinful lifestyles and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
He said, “We have men who plait their hair, dress like women, and even design their bodies with tattoos; that is an abomination. You wear earrings, and every part of the body is pierced with chains; that is a mark of destruction. How about women wearing trousers? Such people cannot enter the kingdom of God. They shall be cast into hellfire, including the homosexuals and lesbians.”

He also spoke about spiritual warfare during the programme. He described the devil as the enemy of mankind whose mission is to steal, kill, and destroy. He, however, maintained that Satan has no authority over genuine followers of Christ.
He said enemies can come in different forms. He explained that anyone who operates under what he described as the spirit of the devil and has not experienced the new birth falls into that category.
He encouraged worshippers not to allow fear to control them. Instead, he urged them to trust God completely and remain confident of victory over every challenge.
He declared that God had already defeated every power working against participants at the programme. He assured them that the influence of the devil and his agents had come to an end in their lives.
