Foursquare Church Sounds Alarm on Growing Insecurity

The Foursquare Church in Nigeria has raised concern over rising insecurity across the country. Speaking through its leadership, the church warned that the situation continues to affect lives, communities, and national stability. The call comes at a time when many Nigerians face fear due to violence and unrest. Church leaders now urge believers to respond through prayer and spiritual commitment, stressing that faith has a role in shaping peace and recovery.

Religious leaders have often spoken about these challenges. However, the recent statement from the Foursquare Church reflects deeper concern. It highlights the urgent need for both awareness and action.

The church leadership believes the situation is no longer something to ignore. Instead, it requires a strong response from both the government and citizens. While authorities handle security operations, the church focuses on spiritual responsibility. The church leaders, including Sam Aboyeji, emphasized the need for consistent prayer. They encouraged believers to seek God’s intervention for peace and protection across the nation.

They explained that prayer should not be occasional. Instead, it must become a daily commitment. According to them, spiritual engagement is not separate from national issues. Rather, it is part of the solution. This message aligns with the belief that faith influences both personal life and society. Therefore, Christians are encouraged to stand in the gap for the nation.

The church leaders are not only asking for prayer. They are also shaping how Christians think about their role in society. Faith is not limited to personal success or church attendance. It also involves caring about the nation. This includes praying for leaders, supporting peace, and promoting unity.

By calling for intercession, the church teaches that spiritual actions have social impact. It shows that believers can contribute to change in meaningful ways. Furthermore, this message challenges Christians to move beyond passive faith. It invites them to engage actively with the realities around them.

The rising insecurity in Nigeria remains a serious concern. However, the response from church leaders offers a clear direction. Through prayer and spiritual commitment, believers can take part in the nation’s healing. Christians are encouraged to act, not just observe. This means praying regularly, supporting peace, and staying informed about national issues.
