(CAC) THE LIVING WATER  DAILY DEVOTIONAL 15/09/25

CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH THE LIVING WATER  DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE
DATE: Monday, September 15, 2025.
TOPIC: HAVE YOU BEEN BAPTISED? (II)
MEMORISE: Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38).
READ: Acts 2:41-47
[41]. Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
[42]. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
[43]. Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.
[44]. Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common,
[45]. and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
[46]. So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
[47]. praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

EXPOSITION

     We started a discussion on baptism yesterday. Baptism is a clear ordinance from Christ for all believers. Jesus did it, and all believers in Him should necessarily partake of it (Matt. 3:13). We are expected to be filled and live by the Holy Spirit after the water baptism.
     Today, we will consider the baptism into His Word as a necessity for our walk with the Master
The early Church was baptized into the study and living by the Word of God after their water baptism (Acts 2:42).

Previous Devotional

     You cannot live as a Christian without being baptized into His Word. The Word will, among many things, cleanse you from unrighteous behavior and refresh your inner man. It is God’s provision for us to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.
     It is the spiritual manna that will carry you through each day. Make a practice of baptizing yourself in studying, meditating and obeying the Word of God everyday before you go about your activities and you will experience daily victory and prosperity. Dear pilgrim on the way to heaven, be baptized in God’s Word.

PRAYER POINTS

1. God, grant me the grace to study Your Word daily
2. God, give me understanding and obedience to Your Word.
3. Holy Spirit, remind our Christian politicians of Your Word for godly governance

SUGGESTED HYMN FOR TODAY: CAC GHB: 478

10 10 10 10 & Ref

1. I am so glad that our Father in heaven
Tell of His love in the Book He has given;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see;
This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me.
Chorus:
I am so glad that Jesus loves me.
Jesus love me, Jesus loves me.
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me.
2. Though I forget Him, and wander away,
Still He doth love me wherever I stray:
Back to His dear loving arms do I flee,
When I remember that Jesus loves me.
3. Oh, if there’s only one song I can sing.
When in His beauty I see the great king.
This shall my song in eternity be,
“Oh, what a wonder that Jesus loves me!”
4. Jesus loves me, and I know I love Him;
Love brought Him down my poor soul to redeem;
Yes, it was love made Him die on the tree
Oh, I am certain that Jesus loves me!
5. If one should ask of me, how can I tell?
Glory to Jesus, I know very well!
God’s Holy Spirit with mine doth agree.
Constantly witnessing-Jesus loves me.
6. In this assurance I find sweetest rest,
Trusting in Jesus, I know I am blest,
Satan, dismayed, from my soul now doth flee,
When I just tell him that Jesus loves me.
Amen.
