Tongue-Speaking Christians Can Be Wicked-Apostle Femi Lazarus
Pastor Femi Lazarus has urged Christians to ensure that their spiritual lives reflect kindness, justice and compassion toward others.
Speaking about the conduct of some believers, Lazarus warned against using spiritual practices as an excuse for treating people badly. He stressed that speaking in tongues should not replace godly character.
According to him, some Christians may display spiritual gifts while still behaving cruelly toward others. He urged believers to examine how they treat people, especially those who work for them.
“Don’t excuse wickedness in the name of tongues. Some of the tongue-speaking people are the most wicked. Go and be kind,” he said.
Lazarus cited situations where domestic workers are treated as inferior within some households. He said some workers are allegedly prevented from sitting on the same chairs as members of the families they serve.

He also recalled seeing a video involving a woman who took her children to an eatery. According to him, the children received good meals while the domestic worker accompanying them was allegedly given something significantly different.
The pastor argued that material wealth alone does not make someone truly rich. He said a person can have substantial possessions while remaining poor in character.
“There are poor rich people. They have, but they are wretched,” he said.
Lazarus further challenged Christians who pray for revival and national transformation to demonstrate righteousness in their daily lives. He stressed that genuine faith should influence how believers treat workers, vulnerable people and others around them.
His message, as reported by Kingdomboiz Blog, centred on the need for Christians to combine spiritual devotion with kindness, justice and responsible treatment of others.
