Prophet Olu-Alo Warns Nigerians Against Inconsistent Politicians
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Planter of Christ Apostolic Church, Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Prophet Sam Olu-Alo, has urged Nigerians to carefully examine the records of political candidates before voting. The cleric warned voters against politicians who frequently change their positions or fail to fulfil promises made during campaigns.
Olu-Alo gave the advice in Lagos on Sunday at the conclusion of his church’s annual prayer, fasting and empowerment programme, “Sure Mercy of David.” He urged Nigerians to assess candidates based on their previous performance, character, consistency and commitment to public service.
“We must be wary so that we don’t fall into the hands of wrong or inconsistent politicians,” Olu-Alo said.
The prophet said politicians who fail to honour their commitments after securing public office should not automatically receive another mandate. He also called on voters to exercise their civic responsibilities carefully and demand accountability from elected officials.
Olu-Alo urged Nigerians to ask governors, lawmakers and other public officials to present evidence of their achievements while in office.

“I am urging Nigerians to ask our governors, representatives at all levels, the state and federal levels, the same question. They need to present their scorecards,” he said.
According to him, voters have a major role in determining the quality of governance through the choices they make during elections. The cleric encouraged citizens to prioritise candidates with credible records instead of being swayed by campaign promises.
Olu-Alo Highlights Empowerment Programme
Speaking on the church’s annual empowerment initiative, Olu-Alo said thousands of people had received training through the programme. He explained that the church also provided support for participants who excelled during the training.
“Thousands were trained during the programme, and we are happy that we’re able to do this. We made sure we empowered those who have excelled in the training,” he said.

The initiative, according to the cleric, forms part of the church’s efforts to support members and contribute to the wellbeing of communities. Also speaking at the event, the Regional Superintendent of the Christ Apostolic Church, Essien Region, Pastor Isaac Eyebiokin, commended Olu-Alo for sustaining the annual prayer programme and his philanthropic activities.
Eyebiokin stressed the importance of prayers for Nigeria and its leaders, particularly amid the challenges facing the country.
“This prayer is very important, especially praying for our country and for our leaders. They need our prayers,” he said.
The pastor also prayed for continued strength and success for Olu-Alo, describing his initiatives as beneficial to both leaders and citizens.
The clerics’ comments come as political parties and aspirants begin preparations for the 2027 general elections, with voters expected to play a decisive role in determining the country’s next set of leaders.
