I Am in Ministry for Destiny, Not Money – Pastor Komaiya

Senior Pastor of The Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Korede Komaiya, has said his calling into ministry is not driven by money or material ambition but by divine purpose. Speaking during a Sunday service, he declared that his mission is to fulfil his destiny and carry out God’s vision for his life.

Pastor Komaiya told his congregation that ministry should never be treated as a business or a means of survival. He explained that the chase for wealth, possessions, and social status has distracted many believers from their God-given purpose. “I am not in ministry for money,” he said. “I am in ministry to fulfil destiny and to carry out the vision of God for my life. Where there is no vision, people perish.”

He urged believers to rise above what he described as the rat race of daily survival, the endless chase for food, clothing, and material comfort. According to him, living only to meet basic needs limits the potential God placed inside each person. “This idea of what to eat or what to wear must end,” he added. “Survival mentality is a minus. It is one of the errors of capitalism. Anyone who is driven only by survival will become a slave to the system.”

True success in life and ministry, Pastor Komaiya explained, comes from discovering and walking in divine vision. Every believer must seek to know God’s mind for their business, career, and purpose. “Have you downloaded the mind of God for your business?” he asked. “If you have, then you will know you are called to be above only. You should be the one paying school fees for the children of widows, not talking about buying a car or land in the village.”

The key to personal transformation begins with the renewal of the mind, he added. “To upgrade your life, upgrade your mind,” he said. “Upgrade your thoughts because as a man thinks, so he is. Your thoughts determine your reality.”

Reflecting on his personal conviction, Pastor Komaiya declared certainty about his divine assignment and the level of influence God has called him to. He shared that his vision is to reach a height that no pastor has ever attained on earth in terms of impact, relevance, and dominion. “I stand before you today to say that I will get to where no pastor has ever gotten to on this earth,” he affirmed. “In terms of influence, significance, and dominion, I will rise because God told me that when I love Him and obey Him, He will set me above all nations of the earth.”

The cleric emphasized that love and obedience to God are the true secrets of greatness. He noted that divine promotion comes to those who live faithfully and not to those who chase material things. “I will be above only and not beneath,” he added. “That is what I hold on to. When you walk in love and obedience, you do not have to chase success because success will chase you.”

Pastor Komaiya encouraged his listeners to think long term and to set clear goals for their future. Many people fail because they have no defined vision for their lives. “Where do you see yourself?” he asked. “In three years? In six years? In ten years? You must think ahead. Set goals that stretch your faith and demand growth. Both short goals and long goals are necessary if you want to fulfil destiny.”

He also explained that believers must stop measuring progress by worldly standards and instead focus on spiritual growth, service, and purpose. “Many people count success by how many cars they have or how many houses they own,” he said. “But destiny is bigger than that. God’s purpose for your life is to influence others, to lift people, and to make a difference.”

According to him, discovering divine purpose eliminates the need to compete with others. Comparison and envy, he said, are signs of insecurity and lack of understanding. “You cannot walk in destiny and compete with people,” he warned. “You are unique. God’s plan for you is personal. When you discover it, you will not waste energy comparing yourself with others.”

He challenged Christians to see work and business as platforms for dominion rather than mere survival. “You are not in that company just to earn a salary,” he said. “You are there to take over, to influence systems, and to bring the kingdom of God into your environment.”

The pastor also noted that economic pressure and social media culture have caused many people to lose sight of what truly matters. He urged believers to focus on growth, purpose, and service rather than competition and display. “We must learn to think kingdom and not consumerism,” he said. “When your mind changes, your life will change.”

Pastor Komaiya described destiny as a divine journey that unfolds step by step. Those who follow God’s plan with patience, he said, will experience increase and influence beyond imagination. “When you follow vision, provision follows you,” he said. “God never sends a man without supply. What delays many is not the devil but their own thinking. The mind is the battlefield. Renew your mind and your destiny will open.”

He closed his message by reaffirming his commitment to God’s call. “I am not in ministry to make money,” he said once more. “I am here to fulfil destiny. I will keep walking in obedience and love. I will get to where God has destined me to reach. My life will be a testimony that when you follow divine vision, you will rise above every system and shine before the world.”

The sermon, filled with passion and conviction, echoed Pastor Komaiya’s recurring message on purpose, mindset, and divine vision. For him, pursuing destiny is higher than pursuing wealth. “When purpose drives you,” he concluded, “money becomes your servant and not your master.”
