Hundreds Find Faith at Mississippi Go Tell Crusade
A wave of faith swept through Brookhaven Mississippi as more than 700 people decided to follow Jesus during the Go Tell America Crusade at King Field. The four night event, led by evangelist Rick Gage and his team from Atlanta, brought together about 10,000 people and over 40 local churches.
Each night, the stadium was full of people looking for hope and a new beginning. On the last night, more than 3,500 came to worship. Hundreds walked forward to give their lives to Christ. The Christian band Rush of Fools led worship and filled the air with music and praise.
David Williams, one of the leaders, said it was amazing to see what God did in Brookhaven. He said months of prayer and teamwork made it happen. “God really blessed our community,” Williams said. “My prayer is that this moment will turn into a movement that changes lives forever.”
The Go Tell team also spoke to about 3,000 students in local schools about the dangers of drugs and alcohol. Gage said his team has shared this message with more than two million students across the country through their On Track school program.

Local pastors said the event brought new energy to their churches. Pastor Chris Huffman of The Well Church in McComb said his daughter was touched by stories of people standing up for their faith. “We were honored to be part of something that helped so many young people grow closer to God,” he said.
Jason Case, head of Brookhaven Academy and pastor of Philadelphia Baptist Church, said the crusade touched many families. “Fathers and grandfathers who had stopped coming to church are now coming again because their children made commitments to Christ,” he said.
Pastor Ryan Thurman of Central Baptist Church said the crusade was one of the most powerful moments he has seen in his ministry. “We saw hundreds respond to the gospel,” he said. “Now our church is more excited than ever to reach others.”
Kenny Goza from East Haven Baptist Church said the event felt like a spiritual awakening. “It showed what the church should be people coming together, praying, and helping others find God,” he said.
For many, the experience was personal. Chelsey Anderson, who gave her life to Christ at the crusade, said it changed her family forever. “I gave my life to God Sunday night, my husband did on Tuesday, and my little sister did on Wednesday,” she said. “It changed everything for us.”
The Go Tell America Crusade left Brookhaven full of hope and unity. For many people, it was more than an event it was the start of a new life of faith and community .
