Cam Little Breaks Record, Gives Glory to God

Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little says his record-breaking field goal is about more than football  it’s about glorifying God.

Little made NFL history on Sunday with a 68-yard field goal, the longest ever in league play. The kick  which cleared the crossbar by several feet  broke Justin Tucker’s 66-yard record and stunned fans across the league.

“I don’t doubt someone will break it someday,” Little told reporters after the game. “But for me, it’s about using what I do to glorify God and spread the Gospel.”

Faith Before Fame

The 23-year-old kicker, drafted by Jacksonville in 2024 from the University of Arkansas, said his relationship with Christ has reshaped how he views success.
“Football is a blessing,” he said. “But it’s not my identity. My identity is in Jesus.”

Little’s record-setting performance wasn’t his only highlight. He also hit a 48-yard field goal at the end of regulation to push the Jaguars into overtime, leading to a 30–29 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Despite early-season struggles  with a drop to 76.5% accuracy compared to 93.1% as a rookie  Sunday’s perfect 3-for-3 outing showed signs of a turnaround.

A Rising Star with a Purpose

Teammates praised Little for his consistency under pressure. Coaches called his kick “a moment of destiny.” But for Little, the meaning runs deeper.

“I’m just thankful for the opportunity,” he said. “God has given me a platform, and I want to use it to point others to Him.”

Little made headlines in the preseason with a 70-yard practice kick that would have been another record  if only it counted. His focus now is on helping his team win and living out his faith on and off the field.

“I kick,” he said simply, “to glorify God.”
