Pastor Jerry Eze Gifts Nathaniel Bassey a New Car
Gospel musician Nathaniel Bassey has thanked Pastor Jerry Eze for gifting him a new Range Rover for his birthday.
Bassey shared the news on Instagram on Friday, August 28, 2026. He said he planned a quiet day of thanksgiving before discovering that Eze and his wife had organised a surprise.
According to the gospel musician, Eze had been working with his wife behind the scenes to arrange the surprise.
Bassey said he was particularly touched by Eze’s insistence on getting him the best car after his wife suggested a particular option. Recounting Eze’s response, Bassey wrote, “In His words, ‘my brother can’t drive that.’”
The musician described Eze as a generous friend who has supported him beyond the birthday gesture.
He also disclosed that he knows of other people Eze is currently planning similar surprises for, describing the pastor as someone who “gives like his life depends on it.” Bassey publicly thanked Eze for the gift, stressing that his appreciation for their friendship does not depend on material gifts.

He wrote, “Pastor Jerry, not only has he done this for me. I know of a couple of other ones like this He is currently planning.”
The gospel singer also prayed that the joy Eze had brought to him and his family would return to the pastor and his family in multiple folds.
Bassey then appealed to his followers to join him in appreciating Eze for the birthday surprise.
“So please, help me Thank Him on my behalf. Weary him today with gratitude. Tell him his brother is grateful,” he said.
The birthday gesture has since drawn attention among followers of both gospel ministers, highlighting their longstanding friendship and relationship within Nigeria’s contemporary Christian music and ministry community.
