CAC President Praises Pastor Akinosun’s Leadership Legacy
According to The Punch, the President of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Oladele, has described the late seventh President of the church, Pastor Abraham Akinosun, as a courageous leader, a committed believer in God’s Word, and a man whose actions spoke louder than his words.
Pastor Oladele paid tribute to the late cleric during the burial outing service held in his honour at CAC All Saints’ Chapel, Ibadan, over the weekend. He said Pastor Akinosun left behind a legacy of integrity, loyalty, and fearless leadership within the church.
He noted that Pastor Akinosun, who passed away on March 22, 2026, at the age of 81, consistently defended the interests of the church throughout his years of service. He said the former CAC president never avoided difficult decisions and remained steadfast whenever challenges arose.
Pastor Oladele recalled that Akinosun demonstrated unusual courage at different stages of his ministry. He said the late cleric took bold steps that many leaders might have avoided. He added that Pastor Akinosun stood firmly against individuals whose actions threatened the unity and progress of the church.

He said Pastor Akinosun showed unwavering loyalty while serving as a superintendent. He also said the late church leader remained committed to authority and order throughout his ministry. According to him, Pastor Akinosun set a standard of leadership that future generations would remember.
The General Superintendent of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Emmanuel Odejobi, also praised the late cleric’s leadership qualities. He described him as a fearless man who combined gentleness with courage.
He said Pastor Akinosun treated people fairly and welcomed contributions from different quarters. He added that the advancement of CAC remained one of his major concerns until his final days.
Pastor Odejobi further noted that Akinosun’s devotion to his late wife reflected his character as a loving husband and responsible father. He said the deceased also served his community diligently and earned respect as an elder statesman.
The General Evangelist of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, highlighted Pastor Akinosun’s impact on the church during a significant period in its history. He said the late president guided the church with wisdom, prayer, and administrative excellence.

He explained that Pastor Akinosun promoted peace, strengthened doctrine, and encouraged spiritual growth across the church. He added that the former president remained committed to the expansion of the mission throughout his tenure.
Prophet Oladeji said Akinosun’s influence extended beyond administration. He stated that the late cleric genuinely cared for ministers and members and approached leadership with a shepherd’s heart.
The General Secretary of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Emmanuel Mapur, described Pastor Akinosun’s death as a major loss to the church. He said the late leader consistently promoted unity, reconciliation, and harmony wherever he served.
