BSN Donates ₦14.4m Bibles to Expand Scripture Access
The Bible Society of Nigeria has donated Bibles worth ₦14.4 million to expand access to Scripture across the country. The donation reached churches, prisons, schools, and people with visual impairment. It reflects ongoing efforts in Bible distribution and Christian outreach in Nigeria, according to Punch Nigeria.
The organization explained that its goal is simple. It wants more people to have access to the Word of God, especially those in undeserved communities.Access to the Bible remains a challenge in many parts of Nigeria. Some people cannot afford it. Others live in areas where distribution is limited. In some cases, disability also creates barriers to reading Scripture. Because of this, faith based organization continue to step in to bridge the gap.
The Bible Society of Nigeria has remained active in this mission. It focuses on making Scripture available in different languages and formats. According to Punch Nigeria, the organization continues to expand its reach through regular Bible distribution program across the country.
The latest donation reached a wide range of people. It included inmates in correctional centers, churches, Christian fellowships, theological schools, and members of the public. The outreach also covered people with visual impairment through Braille Bibles. This helps them read and study Scripture without restriction.

The organisation also continues its translation work. It has already made the Bible available in several Nigerian languages, while more translation projects are still ongoing to improve access further.
This effort goes beyond giving out books. It connects deeply with the Christian faith. The Bible remains central to belief, spiritual growth, and discipleship. Romans 10 verse 17 teaches that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. This is why access to Scripture matters so much. When people can read the Bible, their understanding of God becomes stronger.
The donation also reflects a strong focus on inclusion. Many beneficiaries are often overlooked in society. Prison inmates received copies that can bring hope and direction. People with disabilities also received Braille editions to support their spiritual growth.

According to Punch Nigeria, this initiative reflects BSN’s continued commitment to reaching both urban and rural communities with Scripture. For Christians, this work speaks directly to the mission of the Church. Evangelism and discipleship depend on access to the Bible. Without it, growth becomes limited. With it, believers can study, learn, and grow in faith.
Jesus’ ministry also showed a deep concern for those on the margins of society. He reached out, taught, and included people others often ignored. In the same way, making Scripture accessible reflects that same spirit of care and inclusion. It shows that every person matters.

Through continued Bible distribution and Christian outreach in Nigeria, more people are gaining access to Scripture, including prisoners, students, churches, and persons with disabilities. This initiative reminds believers of a simple truth. The Gospel is for all people, without exception.
