Pastor Adeboye Unveils New RECTEM Governing Board
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has inaugurated the new Governing Council of the Redeemer’s College of Technology and Management (RECTEM), Redemption City, Ogun State.
Adeboye, represented by the RCCG National Overseer, Pastor Sunday Akande, inaugurated the council on Friday at the conference room of the church’s National Secretariat.
RECTEM is a faith-based polytechnic established under the RCCG’s educational initiatives.
Prof. Olufunke Akinkurolere, a former Rector of the Ogun State Institute of Technology, will chair the new council. Emmanuel Emefienim will serve as Vice Chairman, while Olowookere Samuel will act as Secretary.

The Acting Rector of RECTEM, Dr Oladunni Izobo-Martins, welcomed the inauguration. She said the council would provide the strategic direction needed to strengthen the institution.
Izobo-Martins pointed to the recent accreditation of RECTEM’s programmes by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) as a major milestone for the college.
She said the new council comes at a crucial stage in RECTEM’s development. The institution plans to strengthen its academic programmes, improve infrastructure and build staff capacity.
She also said RECTEM aims to establish itself as a leading institution for technical, vocational and management education.
The Acting Rector praised the Transition Committee led by Akande. She said the committee played an important role in ensuring a smooth transition and supporting the college’s development.

Speaking at the inauguration, Akinkurolere thanked the church for the confidence placed in the new council.
She pledged that the council would work closely with the management and other stakeholders to advance RECTEM’s mandate.
The new chairperson also stressed the need for sound governance and accountability. She identified academic excellence, staff development, infrastructure and prudent resource management as key priorities.
She said the council would focus on sustainable growth as it begins its tenure.
