DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE

DATE: Friday, 24th April, 2026.

TOPIC: BIBLE READING: AN INVALUABLE TOOL (II)

MEMORISE
How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word (Psalm 119:9).

READ: 2 Timothy 3:14-17

[14] But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,

[15] and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

[16] All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

[17] that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

EXPOSITION
Today, being the day after World Book Day 2026, it is worth noting that many of the challenges we face as Christians can be traced to lack of commitment to studying God’s Word. Daily Bible reading is vital for spiritual growth and victory in life. It isn’t just old stories but God’s inspired Word, with solution for every situation. The Bible has a special message for you each day to help you grow and live victoriously. However, many neglect its value. Commit to reading and meditating on it, allowing God’s Word to transform your life and lead you closer to Him

The Bible isn’t filled with human words but with God’s inspired words written exactly as He dictated. Its survival through centuries of attacks proves its enduring strength and inerrancy. Napoleon Bonaparte himself noted that the Bible often appears where it is least wanted. Hebrews 4:12 reminds us that the Bible is alive, timeless and powerful

Dear devout, the Bible has answers to every problem you may encounter, but how will you find these answers if you neglect it? (Jos. 1:8). It is unfortunate that many believers remain uninformed about what the Word says concerning their lives, leaving them vulnerable to false doctrines (Eph. 4:14). When you regularly read the Bible, you become equipped to discern God’s truth and avoid being trapped by human traditions or desires (Col. 2. 18).
