CACTS Celebrates Top Graduate at 44th Convocation

The Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary CACTS Main Campus in Ile Ife held its forty fourth convocation on Friday November twenty one. The event gathered students staff and church leaders in a warm atmosphere of worship and celebration. It became a memorable day that showed both academic strength and spiritual growth.

A joyful moment came with the dedication of the Samuel Olusegun Oladele Multipurpose Building. Pastor Johnson F Omitinde who serves as the Finance Director of the church led the dedication on behalf of the President Pastor S O Oladele. The new structure added excitement to the day and marked another step forward for the seminary.

The celebration grew even brighter when the seminary named Oluwasanjo Joshua Olusegun as the Best Graduating Student of the Bachelor of Theology program . He earned a strong CGPA of four point six eight. His years in the seminary reflected discipline hard work and steady growth. He also served as the Students Chaplain of the Weekend Program  where he became known for commitment and humility.

The seminary management honored him with a cash prize of fifty thousand naira along with the award. He described the recognition as a great privilege and said it pushes him to do more for God the church and society. According to him he reached this point because of grace dedication and the support of his family. He thanked his parents Pastor J K and Mrs D O Oluwasanjo for their prayers and constant encouragement. His father a DCC Superintendent in Christ Apostolic Church guided him and shaped his spiritual journey.

Oluwasanjo explained that CACTS changed his life in many ways. The training strengthened him spiritually and also improved his academic and ministerial skills. He said he grew because many lecturers made time to mentor him. They offered counsel opened doors and gave him platforms to learn. Through their help he wrote journals and presented academic papers. These chances improved his confidence and sharpened his gifts.

He appreciated the Provost Pastor F A Olaniyi and every staff member of the seminary. Their commitment to sound theological education pushed him to stay focused on excellence. Their support he noted helped him discover his voice and his purpose.

As he looks ahead he hopes to give back to the church and the academic world. He wants to use his teaching gift to promote sound doctrine and help others grow. He urged students to rise above average work and embrace diligence. According to him excellence starts with discipline courage and a desire to learn.

The convocation ended with worship joy and deep gratitude across the campus. Many students and guests reflected on the mission of CACTS to raise ministers who are spiritually grounded and academically strong. The achievement of the top graduate stood as a reminder that grace hard work and the right support can change a person’s life. It also showed that anyone can reach great heights when they pursue excellence with focus and faith.

The forty fourth convocation of CACTS will remain a day of honor and inspiration. It highlighted the future of the seminary and the promise of its students. Most importantly it showed how a strong community can lift people and help them shine.
