CACTS Fulfills Vision with Ilorin Centre Launch
Expanding the Frontiers of Theological Education: CACTS Inaugurates Ilorin Study Centre
The Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS), Ile-Ife, on Friday, October 17, 2025, reached another historic milestone in its mandate to advance theological education and ministerial formation across Nigeria.
The Seminary officially inaugurated its Ilorin Study Centre at CAC Oke-Isegun, Taiwo Isale, Ilorin District Coordinating Council (DCC) Headquarters, Kwara State—marking a moment of divine fulfillment and academic expansion within the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) family.
A Dream Long Awaited
The atmosphere at the inauguration was charged with gratitude, joy, and a deep sense of purpose as ministers, church leaders, and prospective students gathered to witness what many described as a new dawn for the church in Ilorin and beyond.
In his opening remarks, Pastor Lawrence Biola Akinyosoye, Registrar of the Seminary, expressed heartfelt appreciation to God and to the leadership team of CACTS for their dedication and vision.
“This is not just another centre,” he said, “but a platform to raise men and women who will uphold biblical truth and advance the cause of Christ in this generation.”
Building on a Foundation of Faith and Knowledge
The event began with the national anthem and an opening hymn led by the Liaison Officer, Pastor Arowosegbe Samuel, setting a tone of solemn worship and national pride.
Welcoming the participants, the host minister and Ilorin DCC Superintendent, Evangelist E.T. Akeredolu, commended the Seminary’s foresight in establishing a study centre within Kwara State. He emphasized that the Ilorin centre would bring quality ministerial training closer to ministers and aspiring leaders within the Babajide Region.
Upholding CACTS’ Core Values
Representing the Regional Superintendent, Pastor S.O. Owolabi, the Regional Secretary and Sabo-Oke DCC Superintendent, Pastor Oloruntoba M.K., delivered a goodwill message, commending CACTS for its consistency and faith-driven vision.
He reminded the audience that the Seminary’s success has always been anchored on holiness, integrity, sound doctrine, and spiritual depth—values that must guide the new centre’s operations.
“Sound theology is not optional for the end-time church,” he said. “It is the anchor that will preserve the purity of the gospel.”
A Vision for Spiritual and Academic Excellence
In his address, Pastor Solomon Olowokere, PhD, the Director of Study Centres, expressed gratitude to the Seminary’s leadership for their confidence in his team. He pledged to ensure that the Ilorin Study Centre would maintain the Seminary’s high standards in both academic and spiritual formation.
“We are not merely producing theologians,” Pastor Olowokere stated. “We are raising balanced ministers who can interpret Scripture correctly and lead God’s people with humility and fire.”
The highlight of the event was the inspiring message from the Provost of CACTS, Pastor Francis Ayo Olaniyi, PhD, who spoke passionately about the Seminary’s divine mandate to raise Spirit-filled, theologically grounded ministers of the Gospel.
He explained that the establishment of the Ilorin Centre forms part of CACTS’ strategic expansion plan to make theological education more accessible across Nigeria.
“Theological soundness,” he emphasized, “is the backbone of sustainable ministry. Every minister must be trained to rightly divide the Word of truth and to serve faithfully in God’s vineyard.”
Academic Opportunities for Kingdom Impact
The Ilorin Study Centre will offer programs including:
-
Certificate in Theology (C.Th)
-
Diploma in Theology (Dip.Th)
-
Bachelor of Theology (B.Th)
These programs are designed to equip students with a strong biblical foundation, practical ministerial skills, and the spiritual maturity required to thrive in contemporary ministry contexts.
Already, about 22 prospective students have signaled their readiness to enroll immediately—a testament to the high demand for structured theological education within the region.
A Celebration of Divine Faithfulness
The inauguration ceremony concluded with songs of praise, thanksgiving, and prophetic declarations. Several DCC and Zonal Superintendents, ministers, and potential lecturers graced the event, each rejoicing over what God is doing through the Seminary’s vision.

He described the new centre as a strategic seed that will strengthen the Church’s ministerial base, enhance spiritual growth, and promote sound doctrine in the region.
A New Dawn for Theological Training in CAC
The inauguration of the CACTS Ilorin Study Centre stands as a powerful testimony of God’s faithfulness, visionary leadership, and the relentless pursuit of excellence within the Christ Apostolic Church.
As CACTS continues to expand its reach, it remains committed to raising ministers who are not only academically sound but spiritually vibrant—men and women prepared for the end-time harvest and for the advancement of the Gospel of Christ across the nations.
Truly, the journey of the Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary is not just about education—it is about building eternal legacies for the Kingdom of God.
Reflection: Lessons from CACTS’ Vision for Today’s Church
The story of CACTS’ Ilorin Study Centre reminds us that vision without spiritual foundation is incomplete. Just as the Seminary expands to new frontiers, every believer is called to grow deeper in the knowledge of Christ and to multiply spiritual impact wherever they are planted.
The Apostle Paul charged Timothy,
“Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)
In an age where false teachings and shallow Christianity abound, sound doctrine and Spirit-led education are not luxuries—they are necessities. CACTS’ commitment to truth, holiness, and excellence is a clarion call to every Christian institution and believer to return to biblical foundations.
May the Ilorin Study Centre stand as a beacon of truth, a wellspring of revival, and a cradle for raising kingdom-minded ministers for generations to come.
When knowledge meets the anointing, revival is inevitable.
