Fear at 40,000ft! Wike goes spiritual at the thought of Calamity
A viral audio clip circulating online has sparked widespread discussion, allegedly capturing the voice of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike in a moment of distress during a reported mid-air incident aboard a private jet.
According to the circulating reports, the private jet—identified as a Bombardier Global Express (valued at approximately ₦15 billion)—is said to have experienced engine trouble while flying at cruising altitude, around 34,000 feet. The aircraft was reportedly chartered for the journey.

In the audio, a voice resembling that of Minister Wike can be heard praying intensely, exclaiming phrases such as:
“Satan, you are a liar! Father, Father! Oh Jehovah. Blood of Jesus. Father, it is time to prove Yourself. Jesus, You are in charge. Ohhh Jehovah. Father!! Satan is a liar. Father, save my soul—save my soul, save my soul. Oh my Father, oh my Father!”
The clip suggests that the minister, visibly shaken by the incident, was gripped by fear as the pilots struggled to manage the aircraft. Some reports further allege that the situation caused the minister significant distress, leading to claims that he required a change of clothes after the event.
As of now, there has been no official statement from Minister Wike or his office regarding the incident or the authenticity of the audio recording.
