PHMEDIA AT ITS BEST || ILESA WILL NEVER FORGET

PHMEDIA was not left out of the celebration of a life well spent by Pa Akinwunmi Oladele Akintokun at The Cathedral Church of Holy Trinity, Omofe Ilésà-Osun State. Pa Akinwunmi Oladele Akintokun was an elderly individual who lived a long and fulfilling life but has left a void in the hearts of family, friends, and the community with his departure to the great land beyond.

PHMedia added glamour to the funeral of Pa Akinwunmi Oladele Akintokun held in Omofe ilésà-Osun State as the event was filled with love, remembrance, and the celebration of a life well-lived.

The deceased’s well-spent life and accomplishments were expressed at the occasion, as well as highlights of his significant milestones and achievements, and the impact he made on the lives of others. This accounted for the numerous numbers of attendees to give their last respect to this elder statesman.

His younger brother, Baba Olufemi Durojaye Akintokun expressed his loss as he made late Akintokun’s eulogy as follows:

I wrote about eight passages of all that he experienced while he was living with his brother. I acknowledged all the condolences from different people across Nigeria.

He revealed that “the late man was a half-brother; our mother had many children, but we are the only surviving ones.” Many found it hard to believe as the duo were inseparable and lived as siblings from the same mother and father.

The words of the sermon were extracted from chapters of the book of Psalms which he titled “You Shall Render the Works of Your Hands.”

He said, “There is a time and season for everything in life; Baba Akintokun got committed to the Anglican church while he was far and near, and Baba was very humble.” He quoted that “it is only illness we can cure, but death is incurable.” Surely it was the works and deeds of Baba Akintokun that brought many of the clergymen who honoured him during the funeral, to pay their last respect.

Clergyman advised the congregation to “choose today who you want to serve and who you will serve today, for tomorrow may be too late.”

Dr. Omolara, a biological child of the Late Akintokun gave the vote of thanks as the funeral came to a close.
