Scripture Group Mission Overseer, Rev. Suulola Dies

Rev. (Dr.) Akintayo Funmilade Suulola, the General Overseer of Scripture Group Mission (SGM) Worldwide, has reportedly died abroad after returning from a global crusade.

Suulola, who was also a prince of the Oyo Kingdom, was reportedly one of the individuals who contested for the throne of the Alaafin of Oyo.

Details surrounding his death remain unclear as of the time of filing this report. The cause of his death has also not been officially confirmed.

An unconfirmed report claimed that the cleric died from a heart attack. However, some quarters have described his death as unusual.

Suulola was known for his strong appreciation of Yoruba culture and traditional heritage. He often taught the Christian gospel using rich Yoruba language and cultural expressions.

He was also recognised as a philanthropist, evangelist and teacher of the gospel.

Throughout his ministry, Suulola dedicated himself to Christian evangelism and winning souls for Christ.

His reported death has left members of the Christian community and those familiar with his ministry mourning his passing and reflecting on his years of service.
