Bishop Oyedepo Says God Alone Gives Lasting Peace

According to Punch News, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has said lasting peace cannot come from any government, stressing that true peace comes only from God.

Oyedepo spoke during the dedication of Dreamland, Master’s City, the new worship auditorium of Master’s Place International Church in Warri, Delta State. His message was contained in a statement released by the church’s media unit.

While preaching a message centred on the purpose of dedicating church buildings, the bishop preached from Romans 15:4. He explained that every sanctuary belongs to God and should be dedicated to Him because He alone is the builder of His Church.

According to him, every place of worship exists for God’s purpose and glory. He expressed confidence that the new sanctuary would become a place where lives would be transformed and people would encounter salvation. Emphasizing God’s ownership of the Church, he stated that it belongs entirely to Him and that He alone is responsible for building it.

Behind every sanctuary is God, so we are dedicating it to the Owner, because God builds all things. He prayed that God’s presence would continually dwell in the new auditorium and that it would become a place where many people would encounter salvation.

Oyedepo also urged believers to depend on God for lasting peace instead of placing their hope in human institutions. He maintained that earthly authorities cannot provide the peace that comes from God.

He maintained that lasting peace does not come from political leaders or material possessions but from a personal relationship with God. It is only God that can give you peace,” he said.

The service also featured the reordination of the Senior Pastor of Master’s Place International Church, Pastor Korede Komaiya, and his wife, Pastor Esther Komaiya. The ceremony marked what the church described as a fresh consecration for the next phase of their ministry.

Oyedepo congratulated the couple on the completion of the worship centre. He prayed for greater accomplishments and encouraged them to remain faithful in their service to God.

“Congratulations. The best is yet to come. Receive fresh grace today to remain faithful and consistent with God,” he said.

He also congratulated members of the church, praying that the ministry would continue to flourish under God’s guidance.

During the reordination, Oyedepo laid hands on Pastor Korede Komaiya and Pastor Esther Komaiya. He pronounced prayers and prophetic blessings over their lives and ministry.
