Caleb University Names Folu Adeboye Chancellor
Caleb University in Imota Lagos, has appointed Pastor Folu Adeboye as its new Chancellor. The announcement came during the institution’s 15th convocation ceremony. At the event, the university also awarded her an honorary Doctor of Humanity degree.
Pastor Folu Adeboye is the wife of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. However, the university said her new role reflects her personal record of service, leadership and commitment to education.
As Chancellor, she will preside over convocations and formally confer degrees on graduating students. She will also serve as the ceremonial head of the university.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Olalekan Asikhia, described the appointment as a major step for the institution. He said the university sees her leadership as a blend of academic vision and strong moral values. According to him, her experience in guiding people and building institutions will help shape the future of the school.
In addition, the Registrar, Mr Mayokun Olumeru, said the university feels honored to have her as Chancellor. He noted that her values and steady influence will strengthen the school’s direction in a fast changing world.
For years, Pastor Folu Adeboye has played an active role in education, youth mentorship and family counselling. Many people also know her as a key leader within the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Meanwhile, the university graduated 1,924 students at the ceremony. Among them were 96 First Class graduates and 22 doctoral degree recipients. The event marked another milestone for Caleb University as it continues to expand its academic profile in Nigeria.
