Renowned Evangelist Rev. Uma Ukpai Passes Away at 80

It is with deep sorrow and reverence that we announce the passing of Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, a globally respected evangelist, Christian leader, and founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association. He passed away at the age of 80.

Rev. Ukpai was a towering figure in the body of Christ, known for his unwavering passion for evangelism and his lifelong commitment to the spread of the gospel both within Nigeria and around the world. Through his dynamic crusades, healing ministries, and powerful preaching, he touched millions of lives, leading countless souls to Christ over several decades.

Until his passing, Rev. Ukpai remained one of the most influential Christian voices in Nigeria. His ministry was marked not only by signs and wonders but also by deep compassion, humility, and an unshakable faith in God. He was a mentor to many and a spiritual father to leaders across denominational lines.

Born in 1945, Rev. Ukpai dedicated his life to preaching the message of salvation, hope, and healing. Through the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, he organized major gospel campaigns, leadership training programs, and humanitarian initiatives aimed at improving lives and strengthening the church.
