THE LIVING WATER DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE 18/2/26

FOLLOW THE LORD TO PROSPER (II)

MEMORISE

Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go’ (Isaiah 48:17).

[17]. Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.

[18]. Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

[19]. Your descendants also would have been like the sand, and the offspring of your body like the grains of sand; His name would not have been cut off nor destroyed from before Me.”

Previous Devotion

EXPOSITION

Previously, we saw that true prosperity comes from following God closely as He guides us in the right paths for success. God teaches us how to succeed. When we obey His commands, we experience all-round prosperity.

God’s wisdom is available to guide us through life’s challenges. He promises to teach us to profit and show us the right way to go. Disobedience, however, blocks these blessings. Ignoring God’s guidance leads to unnecessary struggles.

When we trust in His wisdom and follow His instructions, blessings overflow. Psalm 23 reminds us that trusting God brings spiritual fulfilment, peace in storms and provision for our needs (cf. Prov. 3:5-6). Jesus emphasized this principle in Matthew 6:33, Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. By putting God first, we experience prosperity that extends beyond material possessions to eternal rewards.

Trust the Lord today, follow Him and experience the joy of His lasting prosperity! Amen.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, forgive me for my disobedience and help me to trust and follow Your perfect plan.

2. Lord, help me to listen to Your voice and follow Your guidance in every area of my life.

3. Pray for more of God’s power and presence in CAC Pearce Region, in the life of our father, the Regional Superintendent, other officers and members at various levels, in Jesus’ name.
