Rev Omolehin Urges Anglicans in Pentecostal Churches to Return Home
Popular Nigerian preacher, Rev Isaac Omolehin, has urged Anglicans who left their church for Pentecostal assemblies to return home.
The founder of Word Assembly Ministries in Ilorin, Kwara State, made the appeal while preaching at the Diocese of Ibadan. A clip of his message has since gone viral online.
Speaking with passion, Rev Omolehin said the Anglican Church has remained faithful to the traditions of the Christian fathers despite many challenges over the years. He noted that the church lost many of its members when Pentecostal churches began attracting people with promises of miracles, prophecies and speaking in tongues.

He said, “I am appealing to all those who have been taken away to Pentecostal churches in the name of miracles, signs and wonders to return to the Anglican Church.”
The preacher praised the Anglican Church for standing firm through the years, saying it still holds the values of discipline and true worship. According to him, the church has also experienced spiritual renewal, including miracles and speaking in tongues.
He said, “Miracles also happen in the Anglican Church. Anglicans are now speaking in tongues.”
Rev Omolehin added that if not for his upcoming retirement next year, he would have sought the Primate’s permission to lead an effort to bring back all Anglicans who left the church across Nigeria.
He said he would have gladly taken that assignment, describing it as a mission close to his heart.
