Rev Azzaman David: A Bold Voice of Faith Gone Too Soon
The Christian community in Nigeria is mourning the sudden death of one of its fearless voices, Rev. Azzaman David. Known for his bold presence in online faith discussions, Rev. Azzaman passed away on Saturday in a tragic car accident.
He was on his way back to Kaduna from Makurdi, Benue State, when the crash occurred. According to a close friend and fellow minister, Rev. Mohammed Mohammed, he died alone at the scene.
“Rev. Azzaman had an accident on his way from Makurdi. He died alone in the car. May he rest in peace,” Rev. Mohammed wrote on Facebook.
Rev. Azzaman wasn’t just a pastor—he was a force. As the founder of The King Worship Chapel and Ministry, Inc. in Kaduna, he was known for his deep theological insight, sharp intellect, and fearless defence of the Christian faith.

Online, he became a familiar name. His live videos and Facebook debates drew thousands. Whether engaging Muslim scholars or debating atheist thinkers, he spoke with clarity, courage, and conviction.
Yes, his approach was bold—sometimes even controversial. But many admired him for it. He challenged others to think, to study, and to stand firm in their beliefs. For countless young people, he was a mentor. For fellow believers, a warrior of truth.
Since news of his passing broke, social media has been filled with heartfelt tributes. Friends, followers, and fellow Christians are grieving—yet also celebrating a life that stood for something eternal.
“A great soldier of the Lord takes a bow,” wrote one user.
“He fought the good fight of faith.”
Another echoed the sentiment:
“He wasn’t just a debater. He was a teacher and a man of conviction.”
Rev. Azzaman’s influence went beyond sermons. He represented bold faith in a world that often discourages it. Raised in northern Nigeria, he understood the cost of being outspoken—but never backed down.
He is survived by his wife and children. Funeral details are yet to be announced.
Though his time here was cut short, his impact will be felt for years to come.
