RCCG Celebrates Two AAUA First-Class Graduates in Ondo
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Goodnews Mega Assembly, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, has honored two exceptional graduates of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), for graduating with first-class honors.
The awardees, Akinleye Oreoluwa, who finished with a CGPA of 4.65, and Akpan Sunday, who recorded a CGPA of 4.51, both studied Business Administration at the institution. In recognition of their outstanding academic performance, the church presented each graduate with a ₦50,000 cash gift.
Both recipients are active members of the church’s Young Adults and Youth Affairs (YAYA) unit under RCCG Ondo Province 7.
Speaking on the recognition, the Pastor-in-Charge and Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of the Province, Pastor Olatunde Oladimeji, described the gesture as part of the church’s commitment to encouraging excellence among young people. He noted that celebrating academic achievement helps inspire others to pursue diligence and discipline in their studies.

According to him, RCCG Good news Mega Assembly has maintained a consistent tradition of honoring first-class graduates within the church, reinforcing the value it places on education and personal development.
“Celebrating excellence is one way to motivate the next generation to aim higher and become positive examples in the church and society,” Oladimeji stated.
Also reacting, the Provincial Youth President of YAYA and a lecturer at AAUA, Ogunade Oluwakayode, praised the church for investing in the growth and success of young people. He explained that recognizing academic accomplishments not only boosts morale but also encourages other youths to remain focused and committed to excellence.
He added that such initiatives help build a culture of hard work, integrity, and achievement within both the church community and the wider society.
