Ondo Crisis: Deeper Life Members Abducted After Bible Study

The Deeper Life Bible Church in Akure North, Ondo State, is mourning. On Monday evening, three of its members were kidnapped.

They had just finished a Bible study session. The incident happened around the Kasemola area, near Ogbese.

Church Calls for Prayers

A message shared in the church’s WhatsApp group broke the news. It asked members to pray for the safe return of the victims.

“We need God’s intervention,” the message read. “Three of our people were taken after Bible study.”

The church said the matter was reported to the police and the Amotekun Corps, a local security team.

Police Take Action

The police confirmed the incident. Olushola Ayanlade, the state’s police spokesperson, spoke with the press on Tuesday.

He said the command is working on the case. Officers have started tracking the kidnappers in the nearby forest areas.
