Let God’s Word Shape You Daily for Purposeful Living; Pastor S.O Aluko

Church leaders in South West Nigeria have called believers back to the transforming power of Scripture. At the 49th Decentralized Sunday School Rally of Christ Apostolic Church, Pastor S O Aluko urged teachers and members to let God’s Word shape their daily lives. His message was simple yet strong. Real spiritual impact begins inside a person. Only those who live by the Word can truly guide others.

The rally brought together Sunday School teachers from different parts of the South West. It started on April 8 at the Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp. The event created space for teaching, reflection, and renewed commitment.

The theme, Saved Shaped and Sent by the Scripture, came from 2 Timothy 3 verse 16 and 17. This passage teaches that Scripture is useful for teaching, correction, and growth. As a result, participants were reminded that the Bible is not only for lessons. It is meant to shape character and guide daily living.

Pastor Aluko delivered a keynote message titled Formed by the Word to Teach the Word. He made one point very clear. The Word of God must first work in the teacher before it can work through them. He explained that teaching goes beyond passing information. Teachers influence lives. They help build strong faith from the ground up. They also guide the next generation of believers.

In addition, he stressed that God does nothing without purpose. Every word from God carries meaning and direction. Therefore, believers must take Scripture seriously and allow it to guide their lives. He also warned against treating the Bible like an ordinary book. Instead, he described it as a living message with power to transform.

He explained that God’s Word gives direction and brings clarity. It shapes how people think and how they live. Because of this, spiritual effectiveness depends on personal growth. He also spoke about purpose. Nothing exists by chance. In the same way, every believer has a purpose designed by God. However, that purpose becomes clear only through a life guided by Scripture.

The rally reminded attendees that growth requires daily commitment. Teaching without personal change has little impact. On the other hand, a life shaped by Scripture produces visible results. The event became more than a gathering. It turned into a moment of renewal. Many teachers left with a stronger desire to live what they teach. It also showed that the power of God’s Word is not just in knowing it, but in living it.

The message from the rally is clear. No one can give what they do not have. Believers must go beyond reading the Bible once in a while. Instead, they need to live by it every day. God’s Word should guide thoughts, shape decisions, and direct actions.

When this happens, life gains meaning. Direction becomes clearer. Faith grows stronger. In the end, a life built on Scripture stands firm and influences others in the right way. Believers should make time to study the Bible regularly. They should also apply what they learn in daily life. Most importantly, they should teach from personal experience, not just knowledge.
