Joshua Olusanya Sets New Guinness Trumpeting Record

In a groundbreaking achievement, Nigerian trumpet influencer Joshua Olusanya has officially been recognized by Guinness World Records for completing the longest marathon playing the trumpet.

Joshua played the trumpet continuously for 25 hours, 30 minutes, and 36 seconds, setting a new world record. The marathon session took place on May 9, 2025, in Lagos, Nigeria, but the official confirmation only came recently after Guinness completed its standard verification process.

Taking to his social media to share the exciting news, Olusanya wrote:

“OFFICIAL! I’m honoured to announce that I’ve set the FIRST-EVER Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Playing the Trumpet! A dream we collectively fought for.
Thank you, Nigeria! We made history together. ”

According to Guinness World Records, Joshua attempted the feat not only to test his physical and musical endurance but also to promote music education, celebrate instrumental musicians, and inspire young talents globally to pursue their dreams with passion and consistency.
