Cocktail Concert of Hymns Marks Day 2 of Pastor S.O. Oladele’s 70th Birthday Celebration
The 70th birthday celebration of the President of Christ Apostolic Church, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, entered its second day today with a soul-lifting Cocktail Concert of Hymns held in his honor. It was an evening of worship, gratitude, and deep reflection, blending music, drama, and prayers into a memorable celebration of God’s faithfulness in the life of this exemplary servant of God.
A Glorious Opening
The concert began with a stirring organ rendition that ushered in the celebrant, Pastor S.O. Oladele, and his beloved wife. The atmosphere was filled with reverence and joy as the congregation rose to welcome them. Pastor Adigun then led the opening prayer, setting the tone for a night of thanksgiving through hymns.

The event was structured around three hymn sessions, all coordinated with excellence and spiritual depth:
Hymn Session 1 (led by Pastor Tope Dada): Hymns 74, 95, and 173 from the Christ Apostolic Church General Hymn Book (CAC GHB).
Scripture Reading: The celebrant himself, Pastor Oladele, read Psalm 95, reminding everyone of the call to worship and thanksgiving.
Hymn Session 2 (coordinated by Deacon Ayoade and Pastor Paul Bankole): Hymns 707, “A Mighty Fortress is Our God, A Bulwark Never Failing” (Hymn 730), and Hymn 1059.
Varieties Session: This included a moving short playlet by the All Saints Chapel Drama Unit, titled Destined for Good Work – A Tribute to Pastor S.O. Oladele.
Hymn Session 3: Hymns 82, 691, 887, and 351 were sung passionately by the congregation, lifting hearts heavenward.
